Eeveelutions #1: Leafeon

Hey all,

Are you excited for this series? Because I am, I absolutely adore all the Eeveelutions, with Leafeon being my favourite of course! I really hope they release a Dragon Eevelution one day :3

So, without further ado, let's get started on chibi Leafeon :3

Materials:

* 3.5mm crochet hook

* 2x 10mm safety eyes

* 8ply yarn: cream, light green, dark green, brown

* felt: dark green

* polyester stuffing. scissors, sewing needle

Abbreviations:

mc - magic circle

sc - single crochet

inc - increase

dec - invisible decrease

tc - turning chain

sk - skip

OH - outer hoops only

FO, LT - finish off, leave tail for sewing Pattern:

[Head] - in cream

r1: mc 6

r2: inc around (12)

r3: [1sc, inc] around (18)

r4: [2sc, inc] around (24)

r5-10: sc around (24) --- insert safety eyes between r9-10, leaving 6 stitches between

r11: [2sc, dec] around (18)

r12: [1sc, dec] around (12)

r13: [1sc, dec] around (8) -- stuff firmly

r14: (OH only) sc (8)

r15: [1sc, inc] around (12)

r16: sc around (12)

r17: [2sc, inc] around (16)

r18-19: sc around (16)

r20: [2sc, dec] around (12) -- stuff firmly

r21: dec around (6). FO

[Ears] x2 - starting with dark green

r1: mc 4

r2: [1sc, inc] around (6)

r3: [2sc, inc] around (8)

r4: sc around (8)

(change to light green yarn)

r5: sc around (8)

(change to cream yarn)

r6: sc around (8)

r7: [sc, dec] around (6), FO, LT.

[Front paws] - starting with brown

r1: mc6

r2-3: sc (6)

(change to cream yarn)

r4-5: sc (6), FO, LT

[Hind paws] - in brown

r1: mc7

r2-3: sc (7), FO, LT.

[Tail] - starting with cream yarn, leaving a tail for sewing

r1: ch2 (2), tc1

r2: sk1, 2sc (2), tc1

r3: sk1, inc, 1sc (3), tc1

(change to light green yarn)

r4: sk1, sc, inc, sc (4), tc1

(change to dark green yarn)

r5: sc around (4), tc1

r6: sk1, sc, dec, sc (3), tc1

r7: sk1, dec, sc (2), tc1

r8: dec, FO.

Assembly:

1. Sew ears to head

2. Cut 2x inner ears from brown felt (template below), sew/glue to inside of ears

3. Cut out out the leaves from dark green felt (templates below), and sew/glue accordingly to their respective positions

4. Sew all 4 paws to body, remembering to stuff lightly

5. Sew tail to bottom of body
