Easter #2: Torchic (Community Day SPECIAL)

So... I guess I'm slightly late to the party, but it was Torchic Community Day not too long ago, and I wanted to share something *special* with you in celebration!

Materials:

* 3.5mm crochet hook

* 8ply yarn - yellow, orange

* 2x 10mm safety eyes

Abbreviations:

mc - magic circle

sc - single crochet

dc - double crochet

trc - triple crochet

inc - increase

dec - invisible decrease

sk - skip

dfc - double foundation chain

FO, LT - finish off, leave tail for sewing Pattern instructions:

[Head] - in orange

r1: mc 6

r2: inc around (12)

r3: [1sc, inc] around (18)

r4: [2sc, inc] around (24)

r5-10: sc around (24) --- insert safety eyes between r8-9, leaving 6 stitches between

r11: [2sc, dec] around (18)

r12: [1sc, dec] around (12)

r13: [1sc, dec] around (8) -- stuff firmly

[Body... continued from Head]

r14: (OH only) sc (8)

r15: [1sc, inc] around (12)

r16: sc around (12)

r17: [2sc, inc] around (16)

r18-19: sc around (16)

r20: [2sc, dec] around (12) -- stuff firmly

r21: dec around (6). FO.

[Beak] - in yellow

r1: mc 5

r2: [1sc, inc] x2, sc (7)

[Wings A] x2 - in yellow

Assembly:

1. Sew beak to face

2. Sew Wing A on top of Wing B; then sew to body

3. Sew Head feathers B in front of Head feathers A, then sew to top of head

4. Sew feet to body

5. Sew tail to body
