MATERIALS:

10mm safety eyes

3.5mm crochet hook

8ply yarn: white, yellow

Felt: purple, yellow, brown/black

Polyester stuffing

Stitch marker, scissors, yarn needle

(Optional: Fabric glue)

ABBREVIATIONS:

Mc – magic circle

Sc – single crochet

Inc – increase

Dec – decrease

Slst – slipstitch

Sk – skip 1 stitch

Hdc – half double crochet

Ch(x) – chain (x) amount of stitches

FO, LT – finish off, leave tail for sewing


HEAD: (in white)

R1: mc 6

R2: inc around (12)

R3: (1sc, inc) around (18)

R4: (2sc, inc) around (24)

R5-10: sc around (24) -- insert safety eyes between R9-10, leaving 6 stitches between

R11: (2sc, dec) around (18)

R12: (1sc, dec) around (12)

R13: (1sc, dec) around (8)

BODY: (continuing from HEAD – in white)

R14: (this row only: on the outer hoops) sc around (8)

R15: (1sc, inc) around (12)

ASSEMBLY:

1. Sew ears to head.

2. Sew arms to body.

3. Sew legs to body.

4. Cut the following out of felt, and sew/glue to respective body parts:

> Purple: ear spikes, tail spikes

(For me, it's easiest to cut a rectangle in the desired length, and the cut a backward- 3 shape into it to form the spikes)

> Yellow: tail accent

(I just cut a thin rectangular strip and wrapped it around her tail)

> Pink: inner ear (2 pink triangles)

> Brown: claws (same as ear spikes)
